Not sure my races are the best story but here it goes.
Had more carb issues on saturday so spare one went in again. Had a poor qualy even with it bsing the first time this season i had a clear track lol. 8th place the end result.
Got an awsome start in race 1 passing alex and then steven gray into duffis. Had a great battle wi charlie where i was flying in a straight line but never good enough in the turns to actually use the advantage lol. Peter then came up and passed me pretty easily then out of the hairpin they had a nice party at the exit and i snuck on through. Caught up to finlay but he was to good for me.
Race 2 was mega fun lol. Love the wet and early on after another gay start it was me, charlie, steven and finlay who was driving like it was the last round of the drifting champs all together. Managed to get through them with some help and set off after the badger. Caught up in double quick time but didnt have the killer edge lol.
5th and 4th place finishes but should of had 4th and 3rd.
Great season wi my first podium on the road and quick performances. Wanna say cheers to baz and stephen emslie for all thier help and banter, couldnt of raced wiout tthem basically and also tim for the spare carb lol

Can I just thank the guys in the ICR camp for getting me through my first race weekend. I didn't have a clue what I was doing (on or off the track!). It's all a rather bewildering experience for a newbie. I enjoyed it immensely even though I spent the vast majority of the races tootling about at the back and providing a mobile chicane for the front runners when I was lapped! But my only goal for the weekend was to compete in my first race and not stuff my puke yellow XR2 into any one else, the kitty litter or the walls. It's a tick in a box I have wanted since I was a kid. I'm looking forward to next season and hopefully I won't be so woefully slow next time! Cheers, guys!

Hey Dodski
I watched the first race and think you did a superb job of keeping out of trouble. Well done and the speed will come with practice!!

you did a good job dodski, you got out of the way well and didnt panic. look at the top boys youtube and see where they are braking. the main thing is to enjoy yourself and remember it isnt a race PMSL noticed your left hand worked well on the slowing down lap giving us lot a wave.. cheers

Dodski, fluorescent yellow XR? Car looked awesome from the trackside. Keeping it in one piece is more important than speed I reckon, that's my learning outcome for this year!

Dodski.... don't be listening to Emicen If yer not heading into each corner thinking "oh sh*t" then heading out of it thinking "thank f**k", then yer not tryin hard enough!! You might end up in various gravel traps and have to straighten out the car more often than you'd want....... but keep that foot planted!

Greg was that your theory for the season as your car has seen more gravel than your average rally car

Hey Greg Looks like you've inhereted my old nickname, GT. Greg "GT" Graham - does have a certain ring to it ... DC Yeah.... even to the extent that my one man pit crew, the bold Wullie, made up the new number plates for the car! (Gravel Trap Greg) The deal is that I'm not allowed to take them off until I can finish a weekend with 2 top 10's and no trips to the gravel. Could be on there for some time yet I hear you say lol ;D
