what was the reason for Wayne being DQ'd said technical infringement on mylaps
had a nice day at the chicane, not too much to do apart from sweeping the mud off the track due to the persistent corner cutting. I wish that drivers would realise that the time they save by taking a load of kerb on the inside is lost again when you get a dollop of oversteer on the exit, try not to aim for the floppy and you will get a smoother exit. was fun running out to replace the floppy once the pack had passed

was fun running out to replace the floppy once the pack had passed Erm....Well you waited for MOST OF the pack to pass ;D Also can anybody advise what the technical infringement DQ was for at Cadwell?

Well - as I understand it, engine was sealed at Cadwell, but only got stripped down at the end of yesterday's meeting. So, my assumption would be a "technical irregularity" somewhere in the engine??

Fun and games in XR2's... giving the scrutineers a busy year! On the subject of XR2's thanks to those of you who saw me bearing down on you in braking zones and letting me by - it's the first I've been so brave (or reckless) as I was trying to keep up with the two ST's in front of me in Race 2. I've heard a lot of people say the final second or so is the hardest to find in lap times, and thats 'all' I need to find really..

Reasonable weekend. Still having car trouble but making progress on that at least. Had a good race in race 2 even if the result wasn't exactly what I was after. My race report online at www.bhracing.comHappy to let ST's by when I'm not racing someone, hence gave you plenty room Blair. Baz

Dunno if I can call my weekend my best yet, not total points wise but for one result aye Thought Id be a bit rusty after not doing Cadwell but after the test was pretty much back in the groove and was quietly confident of a top 6 as we had some returnees who hadn't lost any of their pace. Qualifying was a nice session and afetr getting my tyres rubbed in (Baz said give it 3 laps but it felt mega after 1 and a half lol) got 5th on the grid which became 4th afetr Tim's penalty. Was abit worried being on the outside as Ive never had a good start in the last few races but nailed the start and was alongside Findaly going into duffus but was never going to get past, then Dave came up with his McIntyres special which I still cant defend from Was having a great scrap with Derek McDougall and Dave until Dave's gearbox gremlins came back and I managed to stick a move into Duffis and keep him off. While he and Derek were battling I was beginning to catch Findlay and thought I had a shout of getting him and with his troubles I got past on the main straight and kept it in one piece to the flag. Mega chuffed for my first ever podium and feel like I can now compete with the top guys instead of being the one who is on the back of the train. Race 2 was a fantastic race, never got a second to rest with Derek, Dave and Tim all going crazy behind me. Had a small incident with Derek when I chopped him off a bit too much at Carlube but got it saved no probs then with 3 to go made an extreme n00b error and botched a gearchange and had to retire on the spot. Hope I didnt cause problems for the guys behind by not putting my hand up, just wanted to get off the track asap. So first ever dnf wasn't a great way to end but every up has to have a down I guess. Better also apologise for the awful interview after race 1, didn't know what words to say tbh lol and took Wayne's advice of speaking absolute rubbish.

Well I had my best weekend in XR2s. Finally got my engine sorted so I'm now keeping up with most others on the straights. Hurrah! Got a great start in race one until I tried to change into third and hit the gate between first and third gears which lost me momentum heading down into Duffus. Unfortunately it happened almost every time I tried to go from second to third thereafter which was very frustrating. Cue lots of Alonso type gesticulations to no one in particular... Managed to avoid buzzing the engine though so I should at least be thankful for that. A bunch of other stuff happened which I'll not bore you with but I finished eighth (later promoted to seventh). Had the gear linkage adjusted which sorted things for race two. Made an ok start but had a slight side-by-side with Russell Milloy which knocked my steering alignment out (left wheel was now toe-ing out). Thankfully it only affected the car when turning right... A bunch of other stuff happened and I finished ninth (later promoted to eighth). Race 1 (2 parts) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap6nFjX6eqQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=7RwpUSj9JPoRace 2 (2 parts) www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KH2qElok3swww.youtube.com/watch?v=ztz4SVKM6dsTwo top ten finishes and nothing to fix or repair from the weekend. More of the same in August please.

Two top ten finishes and nothing to fix or repair from the weekend. What? Are you just going to leave it toeing out?
