Hmmm - just figured it out. Colin put spaces in the video filenames and I didn't realise that our web server doesn't seem to like spaces in filenames. Easy to fix, but not at this late hour unfortunately, as the web stuffs all on my laptop, which is switched off, downstairs and takes 3 hours to boot up!!

Oh - so you caught my handy-work on film - can't wait to see it! Dave - you guys must be pleased with Burnbrae cars finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Round 7 - you'll just have to make sure you all get past Ian next time... Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

Thanks Dave, I should say it would be great to see it but I'm not that sure...
Could I also say that my old pc seems to struggle with running the clips, is there anyway you know I could improve things ? It seems to "buffer" a lot and then miss out sections of the clip. Is it just a new pc required or can you send me the clip in another form or something ?

John/Nick
This should be OK now.
John, you could try "right-click/save target as" and download the clip locally before playing to improve performance?
Cheers .. DC

Nick Pleased with 2nd/3rd/4th, well, not really. I made a stupid novice mistake to let Ian past. It should have been 1st/2nd/3rd? but next time we'll see!! Actually, getting in front of Ian isn't necessarily a problem, but staying in front of him was ...

Yeah been there - I did exactly the same (from what I've gathered from above) - ran wide at McIntyres and watched helplessly as Ian drove past... Good luck in the final meeting anyway - it looks like you won't have to fork out for new race numbers next year as you should finish 3rd - now there's a saving!!! See you in 2004, Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

Thanks DC, it works well saving it locally. Having seen it, it doesn't look any better. Had I not already turned in when Nick lost... Peter was a long way back.. etc etc etc

Yeeha!!!!! Good that the Legends will be there. I'll need lots of winter woolies and film as it's a non-champ race. Ali, will you be down from Orkney for this one?

Hello! For anyone wondering about my absence, the engine is in bits as the first diagnosis of the damage from August proved to be wrong and there was no time to get it fixed for September. Should have it running soon, so will be back out in October with the thermals on.
I popped up to see how many points I was going to lose, and I'm not too sure if I'm bothered about missing the first race or not. On one hand, I could have put an end to my car, on the other, I could have walked away with a top ten finish by simply staying on the black stuff!
Still, I was glad I made it up to watch. In the first XR2 race it was difficult to know where to look as there was virtually a car off at every corner on every lap! I also first hand witnessed the Nick/John/Peter incident...just glad you guys are Ok as it looked like a pretty hefty impact. The MG's proved very entertaining and watching Anthony Reid get punted off then take the win was definitely one of the highlights of the day.
See you all in October and with any luck some legends too!

Nope Michael I won’t make it. Car back home now and I’ve made a start on strip down. Engine out and wings getting fibreglass repairs done. I decided that if I didn’t start immediately I would end up leaving it till two weeks before next season and be in a panic getting it rebuilt on time. Also for me the trek up and down Berrydale Braes with a car and trailer is something I only want to do at the start and end of a season. :'(Pity no one thought of this non-championship race sooner because I could easily have left off taking the car home till after October meeting. I have to say the Legends Organisation is so pathetic and disorganised. The national lot only announced a Winter series ( if you can call just 1 race meeting a series! ) on their web site 7th September for the 25th October.. No information to registered drivers at all so if you don’t check their web site you would never know about the race. 5 or 6 cars off to America so I don’t know how many will enter probably only about 10 cars I can think of …. I see why Lance is excited…..you hoping for some more wins? cheers Ali.
