I assume everyone else has received the letter through from the SMRC proposing a meeting at Cadwell Park in June 2010?
From the sounds of it, it would basically run to the same schedule as a Knockhill meeting but elsewhere obviously.
That is actually a circuit I would quite like to go along to race at but it slightly worries me they are looking for a £100 deposit by January - do some of us even know if we are racing in January preceding a season?
Thoughts?

Aint got the letter yet but damn Id love to go.
Im guessing since its being run like a Knockhill event it wont be replacing the away round that the Minis and XR2's do or would that not be the case?

Love the idea of this one, from a spectators point of view I hope it happens, I'd quite likely travel to watch it if so. Not too sure about being able to get the numbers signed up in such a short space of time though, have a feeling it's probably a little early in advance for most people to know their plans for next year. Hope it can be put together though, as it sounds a great idea; I'd imagine taking all SMRC series down together could make things a little easier re transport etc, as people from different series could get together.

I know about the whole £100 quid deposit thing, but honestly, if I do nothing else I want to race at Cadwell! I was there this year without a car...and boy did I wish I'd had something to drive. It's a fabulous circuit, partly open and free flowing, partly tight and twisty, with plenty undulation for good measure. Good facilities and really well kept. Only oddity is the testing situation, being on the Friday with racing on the Sunday. Means travelling down Thursday night (it's a good 5 hours or so) and not coming home again till late on the Sunday.
I hope everyone supports this.

Guys, I have raced at Cadwell quite a lot over the years when I raced Karts and a couple of years ago in my Legend at one of the National rounds. It is one of my favourite tracksand it would be absolutely awsome if we could have around of the Scottish there. Dont miss this chance guys!

Sent off my yes vote to Mike How tonight - one of my suggestions to him was if there is a possibility of the SMRC trying to arrange a discount for accomodation once down there. Like Barry said it's at least a 3 night stay or 4 if you don't fancy the drive back on Sunday night.

I can't recomend Cadwell Park highly enough, it's one of my all time favourites, you bet that I'm up for it.
I can remember several great dices I've had there.
Come on everyone, get signed up as soon as you know your plans.

Ditto to what Charile said. Did Cadwell Park a couple of years ago when the XR's last went there. Fantastic circuit - my favourite by a long way

Guess I'm the odd one out in saying that I'd prefer to race anywhere else in the UK than Cadwell... Looks a great track to drive when you're on your own - but a terrible (that's PC for shit) track to actually race at. Anyway, a question as I've not recieved my letter yet. Will this proposed round be in place of a usual Knockhill round? i.e. Will there be five Knockhill rounds plus the one at Cadwell plus an additional away round depending on which class you're in?

It doesn't mention any of those details, my guessing is the SMRC are waiting to see what the response is before making any firm plans.
Did you race before at Cadwell Mike?
