Sorry Catriona for lowering the tone by bringing up F1, but....
Was down at Silverstone on Saturday for my first dose of live F1 for several years - standing on the inside of Copse for the start of Sat morning free practice, right by the pit lane exit, can simultaneously put a smile on your face and make your hair stand on end as the cars first emerge onto the track.
Made it all the way round the track through the day and watched the qualifying from the exit of Club as they're all letting the car run wide, trying madly to get the power down without traction control.
Anyway, just wanted to say that I thought Sunday was another stunning drive by Lewis. For all the things that haven't gone well this year, some of his own making and some not, to me he is just amazing at withstanding pressure.
Anyone heard bookies odds about where the 2010 british gp will be? Must still be a 50% chance of being Silverstone, given the timescale for Donnington?
Anyone else spend their entire Sunday watching the GP and the tennis? Or do you all have more interesting lives than me?!
Norm

I spent the entire Sunday watching the F1, NASCAR (recorded from the night before) then the IRL race. So no, I don't have a more interesting life than you.

I ended up watching much the same, albeit in the background while I played World of Warcraft so likewise, not a more interesting life Seemed a pretty entertaining race, I went off F1 for a while and haven't fully got back into it but there's been some interesting races this year, nice to see. And while all the hamilton hype gets irritating (shut up James Allen, please), I have to admit he's a very talented driver, so glad to see him getting deserved results

I loved that race, Hamilton winning was great, but the Ferrari's having trouble was better.. And just like Norm I then turned it over to watch the tennis. What an epic final.

I thought Ron Tennis was the McLaren boss....!!!!!!!
We watched the whole race, the GP2 race in the morning, as much of the tennis as we could, Le Mans on IT4 and Top Gear.
We're not couch potatoes, honest, but it was pissing down ouside...!!!

Did anyone see the fine shot of one of our marshals at the F1 Quali?
One of the 27 Clarke brothers I believe?

That's the one! He gave the camera a thumbs-up after they had done a bit on DC's retirement from F1...

That was David - he was on the same post as me, Luffield In, and was on the big screens on Saturday too, as well as being snapped by photographers in between sessions! It pays to wear a silly hat, you know Luckily I don't think they got any photos of us stuffing our faces with ice cream on Saturday lunchtime...phew!
