The tractor on the rally stage is a terrifying thought!

Friend of mine in an original Cooper S hit some cows. He was doing about 90mph on a very straight road, went over a rise and there they were in a dip in the road having escaped from a field.
He killed three and another had to be put down. I think that was the one that ended up mainly in the back seat. The car was completely written off which was bad news because he'd spent months getting it right with a twin Weber setup etc..
He broke both arms and one leg, ruptured his spleen, cracked his skull, nearly lost the sight in one eye but it recovered, had an ear torn off but it was sown back on and did a lot of damage to his "groin area"... Fortunately that was also repaired successfully!
The police were relatively sympathetic but the farmer tried to sue him...
Moral of the story? Cows are a lot harder than you think!!

The farmer tried to sue him because of his own negligence in keeping the cows in the field?? That'll make me look twice at all the sheep I keep seeing escaped all over the A9 every day in case I get sued for squashing one of them!

I was watching police camera action the other day and there was two escaped cows on the motor after the road traffic keeping them safe for an hour or two they found the farmer who owned them and no joke the farmer was charged for inadiquet fencing
sorry for bad spelling of inadiquet.

Perhaps that is where the expression 'HOLY COW!' came from
