It was Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top prior to 2007 - I assume they used it again this year.

It is indeed Sharp Dressed Man. We tried something else at the first 2007 meeting, (can't remember what it was) but it just wasn't right - so ZZ-Top came back. It all started because years ago when Legends first raced at Knockhill, David Finlay referred to them as "The Waltons meet ZZ-Top". It's my favourite of all the theme tunes along with Insomnia by Faithless which is used for FF1600.
Now here's a thing. Do any of you out there have any requests? I don't want to change Legends or FF1600, so I'll selfishly use some editorial control there, but if anyone has any ideas for the other classes then fire away! I'm sure Garry or Duncan, as self appointed controller of music, could source your favourite tracks.

Roll over batehoven normally. You wont have to ask that next year Andrew, you'll be able to hear the music over the radio in the mini.

XR2s was Henrietta by the Fratellis most meetings this year, good song although I kinda missed Roll Over Beethoven Learn To Fly by the Foo Fighters could be well-suited to a series with many airborne moments as well...! Or Roll With It by Oasis? I remember hearing the different song for the legends at the first meeting this year, it just felt so wrong, glad that ZZ Top was back for the rest of the year

Remember years ago at Ingliston a certain driver who used to sit in his road car and play very loudly Thin Lizzy's "the boys are back in town" to get pumped up for the FF race.
