After missing Croft due work last year, looking forward to my first away round in the XR2. Will be more expensive but hope the experience will more than make up for it. Hope enough entries get made for it to go ahead.

Think Charlies summed up the "if but's and why nots" very well and your all right.. I Think the away rounds have been the best I've had in also.

Hi all, I've been reading this with interest and although I agree it is expensive for 'away' rounds from the SMRC based series, the away rounds are always the highlights of the season. Burnbrae Alien and Stewart Scott Cat just made me laugh out loud!!! The problem is being based out of Knockhill. When we tried to do the national Fiestas with ICR, it simply cost far too much - no reflection on Iain and the team - it was simply far too expensive to transport everything to-and-fro from Knockhill and back. With my experience doing the national series, we travel all over the place (although my team is based near Manc-chester), it is expensive but there are many ways of keeping the costs down. Cadwell is a GREAT circuit and if you do manage to make it, you will love it! Just dont go falling down any rabbit holes - it hurts!!! (Dave C - I think you did that at Cadwell???) Hope you manage to get a good turn-out. Cheers, Nick www.nicksandersonracing.comPS The camping and showers etc at Cadwell are pretty good. Just dont pitch your tent next to Charlie! hahaha

He he Nick - It was even more embarassing than that. Jumped out of the truck first thing Sunday morning and went over on my left ankle (that I'd broken 10 months prior). Went to Louth hospital thanks to the ever helpful MGCC folks, where I was given a support stocking and told it was badly sprained. A week later popped in to RAH in Glasgow to be told "Well done, you've broken it in 2 places this time!". Only good news about this was that they only left the cast on for 2 weeks this time instead of 6, so didn't take much effort to get full movement, but its never been quite right since then Its true though, that all the best shennanigins happens at the away rounds and Stewart Scott is almost always involved in the funniest events!! Unfortunately due to Dave's kinetic powers I too have broken my wallet in two places!
There are other reasons too why I will not be at Cadwell, but I will not divulge them as they may implicate me in the forthcoming robbery of a Paris art gallery of five key works of art.
Oh shit - I overslept!!!

Sandy
I'm sure I saw a post from Charlie that late entries will be accepted, but can't recall where it was, so should be OK ...

When I called them to find out how many entries there were they informed me that late entries will be accepted up to the day before the meeting. Any more takers? C'mon down, you know you want to.

Dave - Ouch! OK, so how many XRs / STs are coming down to Cadwell then. Are any of the STs doing the national series too? Remember, we specifically kept the regulations identical (other than you have to use Dunlops in the national series)... Presume Rory and Stewart will be doing both? Nick www.nicksandersonracing.com

Nick
As far as National ST's go it is Rory, Stewart, myself and Euan.
ICR also has a couple of XR2's I believe - Peter and Charlie.
Looking forward to it already!!
Stuart.

jxr - is this timetable from your race entry pack? Not got mine yet so had posted provisional one (still on Cadwell web-site) which had seperate National and Scottish XR2/ST races. Guess not enough Scottish combined Xr2 and STs for a race? Understand the National XR Challenge is a little more 'relaxed' with the technical rules - hope we can still give them a race.
