hi mods any chance of a seperate section for the marshals to chat, discuss who had the biggest incident and to share advice thanks With out being cheeky, I dont really think it is a good idea to discuss big incidents on a forum. If you have been involved in one Alan, I would think ( and know from previous experience) that you should discuss this face to face with other marshals at the end of the day or even those your on post with . There is another web site out there where there is a huge marshals chat section as in marshals all over the world with lots of different perspectives. I think this web site does a great job already with advice etc, with out sub dividing everyone in to what they are and who they are. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree cheers Foxy

Had a word with Catriona about this and to be honest, at the time being I'm not so sure splitting marshals away from the drivers/spectators is such a good idea, especially when this is still quite a small forum - if we had hundreds and hundreds of active users then I'd probably agree but at the moment the fact that everyone involved in the racing be they marshals, drivers, spectators etc uses the same raceday threads makes for a more interetsing thread than spreading everything to seperate areas.

I agree, it seems like marshal snobbery to me. Imagine a "drivers only" section...it wouldn't work either. Aland is just saying that to get rid of me commenting on every thread!

Richard, stop trying to cause trouble. It's getting boring.
I didn't say anything about "snobbery" - I could understand the point he was trying to make, my point was we don't have enough users to make the idea work and it would spread everything too thin if there were various sub-forums.
